Why T Levels Education and Early Years?
The T Level is a Level 3 course and is exactly equivalent to three A Levels. T Levels are designed to make sure students have the knowledge and skills needed to progress into skilled employment or higher level technical training.

Who is it suitable for?
This T Level is for students who have finished their GCSE's and are looking to develop both knowledge and practical skills in the Education and Early Years sector, or the wider care sector. If you want to work with young children in the future and have the knowledge, skills and work experience to be able to do that, then this course is for you!

What do I need?
We ask for our standard Post 16 entry requirements for five grade 4-9's.

How is it assessed?
In the Core Component, you will have two exams and an employer set project to do on your work placement. For the Early Years Specialism, you will have a number of project assignments to complete.

Experience in the Workplace
You will do a minimum of 45 days work placement in a school or nursery setting, and in general, that means you will be on work placement for two days a week for most of Year 12 and 13.

Ashton, Year 12 student

I’ve really enjoyed studying various aspects of Early Years and Education at The Oakwood Campus. One of the highlights has been learning about child development and understanding how children grow and learn at different stages. The practical sessions, where we get to interact with children and apply our knowledge in real-world settings, have been particularly rewarding. I’ve also found the modules on inclusive education and special educational needs incredibly insightful, as they have broadened my perspective on how to support all children effectively. Overall, these experiences have deepened my passion for working in Early Years and Education and have prepared me well for my future career.
